Qatar Airways to resume flights to Taif in Saudi Arabia – Business Traveller

Qatar Airways has said that it will resume services to Taif starting January 3, 2023 with three weekly flights.

Every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, Qatar Airways flight QR1206 will depart from Hamad International Airport at 7.40am, arriving at Taif International airport at 10.10am.

Flight QR1207 will then depart from Taif at 11.10am, and arrive at Hamad International Airport at 1.20pm.

Qatar Airways is currently operating two daily flights from Riyadh, four daily flights from Jeddah, two daily flights from Medina, five daily flights from Dammam, and a daily flight from Qassim.

Taif will be the sixth destination that the airline flies to in Saudi Arabia.

Qatar Airways currently flies to more than 150 destinations worldwide, connecting through its Doha hub at Hamad International Airport (HIA).

HIA recently completed the first phase of its airport renovation and expansion project. The newly renovated airport can now accommodate 58 million passengers annually and features additional lounges, retail and F&B options, as well as a new transfer hall and indoor garden. The new installations at the airport include Orchard – an indoor tropical garden located at the center of the terminal. The Orchard includes over 300 trees and more than 25,000 plants sourced from sustainable forests around the world.

The second phase of the airport’s expansion will commence early next year and will further increase the capacity of the airport to over 70 million passengers. It will involve the construction of two new concourses within the existing terminal.
